If you are based in Visayas/Mindanao, book a flight going to Puerto Prinsesa from Mactan-Cebu International Airport or Ninoy Aquino International Airport if you're point of origin is in Manila. You can check the available flights and origin through Cebu Pacific, PAL, Air Asia or other popular travel apps you can find online.

In our case, the available flight going to Puerto Prinsesa from Mactan-Cebu International Airport is in the afternoon on weekdays as per Cebu Pacific Super Pass claim. Daily flights going to Palawan is available just choose the most suited time  you want to fly. Using this pass, our airplane fare is reduced 5 times than the regular fare of Php 5k plus per pax or Php 9k plus via Cebu-Manila-Puerto Prinsesa route. This is huge discounts for us as family travelers.

Taxi fare going to Mactan-Cebu International Airport from Tamiya, Lapu-Lapu City area is around Php 300 pesos.

How to go to EL NIDO, Palawan?

To go to EL NIDO, we took ride the private van with Php 700 fare per pax (adult/children) from Puerto Prinsesa International Airport. Travelling time is about 5-6 hours from the Puerto Prinsesa to El Nido proper. Halfway of the route, the van driver stops the vehicle to their preferred restaurant/karenderia to eat and do some stretching and other personal call to fullfill like going to the CR, etc.

From EL NIDO proper to the beach hotel resort, you can avail the recommended van with transport service from Puerto Prinsesa airport directly to the hotel area. But for those who choose the Bus transportation and other vans, the drop off area is around the EL NIDO proper near the public market where EL NIDO ONE SUITES hotel is located. From there, tricycle transport service is available for Php 1200 pesos fare for the whole trip going to the beach area of EL NIDO (with max 2 persons capacity). So better prepare for that additional fare in case you missed the recommended hotel's van transport service just like us.

MG CHATEAU RESORT

ACCOMODATION

For beach loving type of personalities, hotel resort nearest to the beach is reccommended but for the sake to stay the resort during night time, inns around the center of EL NIDO is a go to and budget friendly accomodation. Since you go to that place to take time resting and enjoy the serenity of the beach, hotel resort nearest to the beach like in MG CHATEAU RESORT is preferrable. By the time we stayed at the resort, felt like you owned the entire beach resort, only one or two guests we encountered outside our villa accomodation because it's really a spaceous resort inside and out. And the front beach, gosh it's really beautiful to stay to their beach huts and watch the sun sets perfectly over the horizon, the beach waves like the only sound you can hear all of the time and not only that the famous NACPAN BEACH or popularly known as the TwIN BEACH is within your sight! It's really beautiful and full of awe outhere! Until next, Palawan!
