Serene Retreat: A Family Escape at Billy's Resort in Oslob, Cebu

"Serene Retreat: A Family Escape at Billy's Resort in Oslob, Cebu"

Our one-night stay at Billy's Resort in Oslob, Cebu, was a delightful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. As a family of six, we were in need of some quality bonding time after attending our youngest daughter's school family day affair.

Arriving at the resort late in the afternoon, we were warmly greeted by the friendly staff who quickly checked us into our spacious room. The room was perfect for our family, comfortably accommodating all six of us with room to spare. The beds were cozy, and the amenities provided were just what we needed for a comfortable stay.

One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious Filipino breakfast served at the resort's restaurant. From traditional favorites like tapsilog and longganisa to freshly baked pandesal and creamy arroz caldo, we were spoiled for choice. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, providing us with the energy we needed for a day of exploration.

The hospitality of the staff was exceptional throughout our stay. They were attentive to our needs and always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was recommending local attractions or arranging transportation, they went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience.

Early the next morning, I took advantage of the serene surroundings to indulge in a quick yoga session by the pool. The peaceful atmosphere and gentle sound of the ocean waves provided the perfect backdrop for some much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation.

While Billy's Resort may not have a shoreline, its exterior ambiance more than makes up for it. The resort's swimming pool offers a refreshing escape from the heat, and its direct access to the ocean allows guests to enjoy water activities like snorkeling and kayaking right on their doorstep. The lush greenery and well-manicured gardens add to the resort's charm, creating a tranquil oasis where guests can unwind and connect with nature.

Overall, our stay at Billy's Resort was everything we hoped for and more. From the delicious food to the comfortable accommodations and welcoming staff, it was the perfect retreat for our family getaway. We left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, already planning our next visit to this hidden gem in Oslob, Cebu.

Summer 2019 | Camotes Island

Justmom Travels 2019 I Camotes Island - Tulang Diot Island

How to go to Camotes Island from Cebu?

Speaking of summer vacation, everyone is excited! This summer my family and I went to Camotes Island, one of the budget-friendly destinations in Cebu, Philippines. Since we're located in Lapu-Lapu City, going to Danao Port was not that far to travel it only took us less than 2 hours including the normal traffic along the way to reach the port. We hit the road from home going to Danao Port around 10:00 am and arrived around 11:30 am. Just in time for the Jomalia Roro Express to depart around 12:00 nn. Below is the shipping schedule Danao - Camotes Island Route. The ship will dock at Consuelo Wharf in Brgy. Consuelo.

Where to stay?

Since it's the peak season to travel, most beach resorts were fully booked. You can find the best deal for hotel accommodation on AGODA.COM. In our experience, Agoda offered us hotel rates at a reasonable price since we're a family of six. My hubby and I preferred the hotels or resorts listed in Agoda because the quality of service and security of the hotels are already filtered before they're listed. Security next to convenience is our top priority in searching for accommodation as parents traveling with four children. At Camotes Island, we stayed at Aladin White Beach Resort.

Travel Tips:

  • Bring the printed map because the WIFI signal is scarce everywhere. Globe signal is weak or no signal at all, especially in Brgy. Esperanza while Smart signal is good around the island.

  • Bring a flashlight because it's very useful when you go inside of any one of the caves around the island. Brownout is real on the island. We experienced brownouts during our stay on the island. Mostly happened early in the morning.

  • Be sure to have a list of the restaurants or "karenderia" aside from the beach resort restaurant because we're having a hard time where to dine especially when you're on the road going to a specific tourist spot.

  • For souvenir items, a small shop can be found at the tourist spot. We found one in Timubo Cave in Brgy. Sonog, 2 or more shops at Santiago White Beach, and one in Poblacion of San Francisco. At Consuelo Wharf, I didn't find one only the Cassava Cookie Nuts Camotes Island

Hidden Beach Resort.
Thinking where to go sun bathing in secluded beach? You may try Hidden Beach Resort in Aloguinsan, Cebu. The beach has less than a kilometer of white sugary shoreline, still ocean water, and bed rocks where the accommodation rooms settled on top. It's a good place to celebrate special day without surrounded by many people.
