Ghost month @ Mactan Newtown Beach

No plans to go beaching this weekend but we did @ Mactan Newtown Beach. At early morn on Sunday, my hubby's bro
Niño & Jun came by & invited us to go the nearest beach in town. I suggested this beach for us to have weekend swim with the kids since it's newly opened white beach resort for the public. There we spent our whole Sunday afternoon swimming, eating and chatting. The three men had their talks while I had also with Chiqui, Nonoy's wifey. Read more

Our kids said "Thanks Uncle Ontoy for the early Halloween Treat".😱 They surely had a great day at the sea. Another childhood moment to cherish!😉

Unit Meet 2017: CHESS GAME (Elementary)

Unit Meet 2017: Chess Game Winners
(Photo credit :Lhai Paquibot, Marianne's mom)
Unit Meet 2017 was held at Marigondon Elementary School last September 22-23. Different sports were played on this 2-Day Event participated by public and private schools of Lapu-Lapu City. CHESS GAME is one of the competitive sports of the event. This mind strategy game sharpens the mind of our young people on how to become future leaders someday. This Game of Thrones will train their young minds on how to solve from simple daily problems to complex ones in the optimal way with less amount of time and resources.
This year Marigondon Elementary School got the throne as the Official Athletes for the CITY PALARO 2017 CHESS GAME. Marianne Paquibot won the 1st Place and TM Bonita as the 2nd Placer and STEC pupil got the 3rd place for CHESS (Elementary Girls). The three of them will be the participants of this mind sport strategy game. Marianne maintains her slot to play the City Palaro, this time TM got the other slot to play. You did well, girl. While Mike Terence Bonita, Grade 4 pupil from Marigondon Elementary School, got the 6th Place for CHESS (Elementary Boys). Not so bad for  first time Chess player. As parents of TM and Mike Terence, my hubby Terence and me we're glad and proud of these two kids. Great job, kids!

Goodluck to the incoming City Palaro Chess Game 2017. Go for gold, aim high, go for the PALARONG PAMBANSA!😉

Congratulations kids from your family, coach Mrs. Ellen Ongco, advisers Mrs. Ruthanie Delos Reyes & Mrs. Joenilyn Marata, friends, and classmates.

Change Is Coming! Go out and Vote for 2016 Election.

Three days more to go, Election 2016 is about to happen. Speaking about this coming National Election 2016 makes my skin hair to stand and feel likes I am shivering. Who will be the next President of the Philippines? This is the only election that my husband and I want to vote badly after almost 10 years of stay here in Cebu because we spotted a presidential candidate that can possibly lead our government to change. But we can't vote because we're not registered by the Comelec. Ugh! Few months back I think that was October 2015, the biometrics program of "No Bio No Boto" policy for voters' online registration conducted by the Comelec was visited by thousands of Filipinos who wish to be registered. But here in Lapu-Lapu City, the "No Bio No Boto" online registration was limited only to 200 - 500 people to be registered at a given day. Can you imagine how many people will be registered for a 1 week time period? The said registration did not cater all the residents who would like to be registered. We appeared the registration site twice and arrived even more earlier on our second day around 6 o'clock in the morning even though the Mall will open by 9 am but still we did not get the queue number they said that was given by the security guards. On our third attempt to register, we went to Comelec Office at Lapu-Lapu City Hall by the time they announced for special registration for those who are not yet registered during the registration period but sad to know we're not registered that day also because their office didn't accept registration of voters since according to them their office was not the venue for registration it's at Gaisano Grand Mall as their registration site. OMG! At their registration site, there were so many people who want to register but failed to do so because they can't cater them all due to limited man power that they positioned on that event. Did they forgot to foresee it or what ever the reason behind? I wonder where were the other Comelec personnel where in fact they're many inside at their office during ordinary working days? I think hundreds to thousands residents here in Lapu-Lapu City were not registered for the 2016 Elections. Many people that I've talked that day and the following day murmured that they were not registered because registration was limited to number of people. What a heck? Is that the kind of government we want to stay and govern our country? Even registration for voters can't solve the needs of the public. What a waste of time waiting and going to the registration site. So for those Filipinos who were registered, go out and vote wisely this coming May 9 for 2016 Election. Good Luck and God Bless Us All!

Here, I'm gonna share a kind of government that our country really needs for.

Scuba Diving - Fun Under The Sea.

Scuba Diving - Fun Under The Sea.
Last semester break, we brought our kids at Pado Resort to have swimming fun. Sembreak Fun at #PadoResort. There I met one pretty pinay mom Mona (resort staff) whom her daughter happened to be my daughter's schoolmate of same grade level. Few weeks ago, she invited us to have fun in Scuba Diving at Pado Dive Center. Since it's summertime now, we let this fun to be happened this day to counter fight the last week's busyness due to final exams & Recognition Day of our kids. Huh! And now, how I love the sea breeze touching my skin and see the vast ocean full of happy people doing any kind of fun at the sea - swimming, banana boat riding, parasailing, scuba diving, jet skiing, etc. So let's us peep what's under the sea.

After scuba diving, I took photos while thinking the unforgettable scenes under the sea just while ago. The fishes, corals, sunken cross, sunken jet ski (I've never reached that stuff), etc. On my next article, I'm gonna tell you about scuba diving team briefing or crew briefing, Diving Signals or the so called Padi Hand Signals as one the main topics on Education Dive, and how to deal with Decompression Sickness symptoms which I'd encountered while diving. Anyway, may I extend my sincere thanks to divemaster Kuya Lawrence who assisted me, to other diver for my hubby, underwater diver photographers, and to the rest of diver staffs. THANK YOU! It's such a nice Scuba Diving Experience! =) We're looking forward to paragliding or popularly known as Parasailing. I took one photo shoot down below what parasailing looks like, gliding through the air wearing parachute while being dragged by a motor boat.
