"Welcome to the Wild" is what the Cebu Safari and Adventure Park say on their guest map guide. And yes, it is very true! Let's find out why? At first, the idea of watching animals at the zoo is the most likely thought you'll ever think of. Am I right? That's what entices me to open up this particular recreational area for my family to visit one day. On a very special occasion, our son's birthday, we decided to experience Africa at Cebu Safari and Adventure Park. No plane ticket is required, just an entrance ticket worth Php 900 and your time to spare for the whole day family adventure inside the 17-hectare wild park only here in Cebu. This recommended ticket will let you experience Africa's Safari with the so-called "King of the Jungle", the 3 White Safari Lions, and the rest of the exotic animals from all over the world. For a few minutes with these amazing and mighty creatures, you'll be in the moment of awe of how our God Almighty created them in the first place. They are really beautiful and strong creatures indeed. Now if you have some extra, you may upgrade your tickets to Php 1350 to enjoy adventure park rides, and be sure to be there early (8:00 am opening) for you to avail the adventure ride package. Our Africa Safari experience is definitely one of kind and unforgettable. We'd seen the different exotic animals in the AFRICAN SAVANNA area like the IMPALA, WILDEBEEST, ZEBRA, BLESBOK, ELAND, WATERBUCK, GEMSBOK, GREATER KUDU, and EAST AFRICAN CROWNED CRANE. From there to way down by following the Guest Map Guide, we saw the AFRICAN LION, SULCATA TORTOISE, SALTWATER CROCODILE, CHEETAH, SERVAL CATS, PATAS MONKEY, DONKEY, ROTHSCHILD'S GIRAFFE, MUELLER'S GIBBON, BENGAL TIGER, BLACK BUCK, JAVAN DEER, BURMESE PYTHON, WARTY PIGS, and the like. While visiting them one by one, we need to hike a few meters to reach their habitat or even ride the courtesy bus to get there. But it's more fun to do the walking adventure while hearing some complaints of our companions (our kids). So if you're bringing your little ones be sure to pack more snacks and beverages/water on their backpacks. That's one diversion aside from what the Food Outlets can offer.  One more thing, the Bird Show really amused everyone because their birds of various kinds showcased their talents. Even more special since the two parrots sang a "Happy  Birthday Song" to the birthday celebrants of the day and it was our son's birthday too. The Safari Adventure took us for approximately 4 hours of roaming around. It was a bit tedious but full of fun after all. Another wonderful experience I've spent with my family on one fine Saturday.
